The Ann Craig Trio played for the opening of the Castlemaine Jazz Festival 2016 by the mayor, Councillor Christine Henderson, held in the Market Hall of the Castlemaine Visitor Information Centre. At the conclusion of the opening ceremony, Councillor Henderson joined the Ann Craig Trio, singing I’m Beginning To See The Light. We played there again on the very cold Sunday morning.
The Ann Craig Trio played sets in the Cumberland and Bridge Hotels and, as last year, on the train to Maldon and back.

We’ve had some pretty special events with Pippa Wilson:
‘great interaction between Pippa and band.’ (John)
‘… with all of you so obviously having so much fun it took the evening to a new level and place.’ (Barry)
‘As usual thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment … lots of fun and great music’. (Janice)
‘Have listened to Pippa many times and haven’t heard her sound better — flute and strings rhythm worked really well’
‘Thank you – a wonderful night, thoroughly enjoyed by all!’
Feedback from our two events with Pippa, last year, was great as was the audience reaction at the Grampians Jazz Festival 2016 so we’ve decided to do it again.
‘Anything Goes’ this time: we’re taking requests (in advance). Please contact us with suggestions for songs!
On Saturday, 2 July 2016, we’ll be returning to the Ringwood RSL.
Doors open at 6:30 and the entertainment warms up at 7:30 with Jazz Notes until 8:00, when Pippa will move the show into top gear.
Together, we’ll take you through a range of jazz, blues and a little gospel with the usual fun and banter that has characterised these shows. And, of course, of course, there’ll be some surprises for Pippa!
