Started later, playing 6-9: a quiet night. Suited Poul’s percussion – a nice range of sounds.
Thanks very much for coming.
I enjoyed Ousmane’s yassa!
Live jazz music in Melbourne, Australia. Vocal and instrumental bands, large and small.
Thanks to everyone who came along to our first performance at Bar Oussou. So many musicians and even some dancing! We had a great time; hope you did, too.
Next time, I’ll stay for dinner and try Ousmane’s yassa.

Jazz Notes made its debut on Sun 15 April 2012 at the Casey Food, Wine & Jazz Festival in the grounds of the Old Cheese Factory, Berwick.
Fronted by Pippa Wilson, the line-up comprised Jon Magill (saxophone), Kevin Blazé (guitar), Kelvin Legg (vibes and saxophone), Paul Bonnington (bass) and Adam Donaldson (drums).
The day commenced with an instrumental set and was followed by two vocal sets.
It was the first time that music had been included in the festival and it proved very popular. The gardens provided good shade for the audience but not for the band!
