The devastating Black Summer bushfires of January 2020 saw the deaths of over 30 people. With the burning of almost 200,000 square kilometres came vast destruction of forests, habitats and animals.
Carol McCarthy wanted to hold a fund-raiser for the injured wildlife that were being cared for at Melbourne’s zoos. She asked Jazz Notes to back her and also invited John and Mike to join us.
It was a great night with Carol providing great entertainment at the Montmorency-Eltham RSL. We loved the dancers!

Christmas is coming early this year – on Saturday, July 27 with a traditional Aussie Winter Christmas, in July, at the Ringwood RSL.
Melbourne’s master of crooning, Mr Rick Correnza, joins the merry elves of Jazz Notes to bring many a fine crooning tune to the Ringwood RSL.

So, you’ll hear Christmas favourites along with other swing and bossa hits – not just Christmas.
